End of our first day!
Wow what an amazing day this has been! The faces of children and women we have already come to love are burned in our minds. We are exhausted but thrilled to be here. Nurses spent the whole day in Martha's clinic caring for the most joyful women, and the "teachers" spent the day with about 50 children. They started out with 20 but after a walk around the village with the children they were followed like the Piped Piper and picked up another 30 or so! Great dinner tonight at a beautiful place here in Karen with a group of Kenyan women from the university and we are now off to bed. Talk again tomorrow, love-Cheryl

Sounds like a life full of experiences just after one day! Thanks for the update.Enjoyed Jody's comments, as well. Carrie's phone call was a real treat. Can't wait to hear how the music goes. I am so proud of her learning to play guitar! You guys take care.

Amazing! A resting spot, some down time, then..."surreal", as Jodi said. I know that God will touch each of you during your time there, pass it along to all who will hear. Love ya Cheryl, be safe. J
