It seems that I created this blog and then went on to forget about it! We have been very busy as a team, so I guess that will be my excuse. What have we been doing? Well, there has been a lot of fundraising! Now, we are learning the Swahili language, planning the details of our work with an orphange and a crippled childrens hospital called "Joytown", and gathering the supplies we will need when we get there for the children and for a hospital that provides health care to the Masai tribes. Jodie, Jenny and Carrie will be working with children. Cheryl, Patti and Kelli with be working at the hospital/clinic and traveling out into the Masai tribes. Cheryl will also be speaking at a women's retreat for the local university and churches.

We leave March 6th and will be gone for two weeks. There are still 6 members on the team and we are growing in excitement every day! Please join us in prayer for the following:
  1. Good health for the team members, their families and those who will be serving with them from Kenya
  2. Amazing prices as we purchase our airline tickets (the more money we have left the more we can help others when we get there)
  3. That we will find generosity as we procur medical supplies, art supplies and other items needed
  4. Safety as we travel
  5. Team cohesiveness
  6. Most importantly that God is glorified and His will is done!
